Since moving to the East Coast in 2006, Jordan Piper has become one of the leading pianists of his generation on the New York jazz scene. He maintains an active performance schedule, both with his own trio, and as a sideman for Bob Mover, Rio Sasaki, Bill Crow, Joey Cavaceno, Eyal Vilner, John Merrill, and numerous others. His playing has taken him to some of New York's finest jazz clubs including Smoke, Mezzrow, Smalls and the Blue Note, as well as numerous other clubs and restaurants. He has released two albums -- Colors in 2011, and On the Path in 2015. In addition to his busy performance schedule, he is musical director for the Straight and Narrow Gospel Choir in Paterson, New Jersey. He attended William Paterson University where he studied primarily under Mulgrew Miller and Harold Mabern.
